Pulse does not ask you to sign in. There is no Pulse user id, cloud profile, or server-side library of your videos.
Media stays on your devices
Videos, audio, funscripts, posters, and the local library index live on your Mac. The apps read folders you add. We do not receive copies of that media.
What is stored locally
- A library database and thumbnails in Application Support on the Mac
- Device and playback settings on the Mac
- A pairing token so the iOS remote can talk to your Mac
- The last paired Mac on the iPhone, so reconnecting does not need a new scan every time
Local network remote
Pulse Remote connects to Pulse on your Mac over your LAN (or another network you choose) after you scan a pairing QR or enter the host, port, and token. Traffic stays on that network. Pairing is not a cloud login.
Bluetooth and serial devices
If you connect a TCode device or a LoveSpouse toy, Pulse sends motion commands to that hardware from your Mac. Those commands are not uploaded.
Camera and motion on iPhone
The iOS remote may use the camera only to scan the pairing QR. Motion sensors are used during Physical mode so you can record a funscript. Pose data is sent to your Mac over the paired local connection to write scripts beside the video. It is not sent to us.
Network the Mac app does use
The Mac app may contact a public Sparkle appcast to check for updates. That check is not tied to your library. This website may load a self-hosted analytics script (Umami) that does not use cookies for advertising; that applies to the website, not to playback inside the apps.
